Tips to Make 2018 an Epic Year

We are now in the 2nd week of the new year. How are your intentions, goals or resolutions going? Are you on track? Gaining ground or back in the old habits of 2017?

Here are 3 tips by Dean Graziosi of “Weekly Wisdom” to help make 2018 the best year yet.

#1. Kill Regrets Fast: We can tend to look back on the previous year with regret. We look at the missed opportunities, what we’ve done wrong and why we’re NOT living the life that we’ve always dreamed of.

There is a better way to look at your previous year…

There are so many things that you accomplished and overcame that you didn’t give yourself credit for… So why not turn your past 12 months into a positive focus and only extract those things that you learned from, that you grew from and that you accomplished.

Carry forward into 2018 the feeling of getting more things done than you thought possible and learning more than you realized!

#2. Prioritize and Productivity: One of the least talked about yet most important part of setting a goal or an expectation that comes to life is prioritizing and being productive to make it happen. If you don’t change any habits and you don’t find the time to accomplish what it is you desire, then 2018 will just be a mirror image of the year prior.

In today’s crazy busy world how do we find the time? How do we become as productive as possible?

Take the time today and make a “not to do” list…

There are things that you do every day, every week, and every month…

  • they don’t serve you
  • they don’t serve your bigger future
  • they don’t serve your family
  • and they don’t serve you making more money and living a more abundant life.

This is the perfect time of year to reflect on the actions you take on a daily basis that don’t propel you toward your desired goals.

If you want 2018 to be better than you can possibly imagine, there are 2 steps you need to do.

Step 1: Take the time and list the things that you know you shouldn’t be doing.

Step 2: Then decide if you should just stop doing them, delegate them to someone else, or in today’s tech world, see if you can automate them.

Doing this exercise will open time in your life to focus on your goals, your desires and your dreams for this year and many years to come.

#3. Attach Your Heart to It: I believe one of the biggest things that is missing from our goals for the upcoming year is attaching your heart to it. In the New Year’s resolution category, some of the top things said by most people around the world are getting in better shape, losing weight, making more money, eating healthier, finally starting that new business, finally stop procrastinating on starting the side business, and spending more time with your family.

These and many more resolutions are fantastic and wonderful goals to set.   But, just saying them and just thinking about that isn’t enough to make them a reality and become a part of your life.

To make your desires become your reality you must dig deep into your heart and find an emotion you can connect to the outcome that you crave.

If you want to lose weight and say you simply want to look better, that may be true, but is that enough to keep you at the gym every day.

If you want to make that a reality, you need to attach your heart to that goal.

A powerful emotion to it, such as wanting to be an example for your children, wanting to set an example for those around you, or wanting to live longer so you can enjoy your family and friends while you’re on this planet.

When you attach it to your heart it becomes more than just a goal… it becomes an emotion… a purpose… something that you’ll be willing to put in the hard work to get.

Revisit your goals to dig deep within your heart and find the true reason and emotion you can attach to each resolution/goal. When you attach a feeling to a goal, you give an exponential chance of it becoming your reality.

So…instead of having your New Year’s resolutions (goals/intentions) fade by mid- February… Kill Past Regrets, Prioritize, and Attach Your Heart to Them!
